If essential, N.Y. City Taxis are available at both airports for trips to Merrick. However, since Merrick is located outside the city zone, the charge is the meter rate while in the city zone, and then “double the meter rate” upon entering our Nassau County. This can total approximately $100. There is no additional charge for more than one person. Tipping is customary. Be sure to ask for a receipt.
