Best route from Manhattan
- Use the Queens Midtown Tunnel (enter from East 34th Street or 2nd Avenue). The tunnel will exit on to the Long Island Expressway (I-495).
- Drive for 17 miles on the expressway to Exit 38 “to Hauppauge.”
- The exit ramp will merge to a four-lane highway. After 1 mile, stay to the right as the road divides at Exit 31-A for the beginning of Meadowbrook Parkway “Jones Beach.”
- Take Meadowbrook Parkway approximately 7 miles to Exit M8-E “Route 27, east, Merrick.” (Route 27 is Sunrise Highway.)
